Such was the case with the 'Harukiku Maru' (formerly the 'SS Van Waerwijk') scuttled by the Dutch but refloated by the Japanese. Late on 25.6.44, the prisoners at Gluger Camp embarked on this ship which was part of a convoy heading for Japan.
