The VJ75 commemoration was held at 12 noon and despite the Covid limitations loco SINGAPORE ended up with 20 white orchids placed on the footplate below the memorial plates – in memoriam. Fortunately the weather kept dry and there was a particularly poignant moment when Mrs Rawson placed an orchid in memory of her FEPOW father Walter Copland.
